HOW DOES IT WORK?Natural Gas is delivered at low pressure to the existing air intake system, precisely controlled by the Integrated Throttle Body (ITB). The proprietary Air Gas Mixer (AGM) is installed between the air filter and the turbocharger, which ensures that the air gas mixture with the correct ratio is delivered to the engine.
The AGM is designed to optimise the use of natural gas in the converted engine. The ITB ensures that the correct amount of natural gas is delivered to the engine across load profiles. It can accurately increase or decrease the flow of gas depending upon the change in load or other operating conditions. The fast 10m/s response time to increase exhaust temperatures or vibrations ensures the gas supply is reduced or stopped whenever required, maintaining the safety of the engine.
The gas train consists of a manual ball valve, a 50-micron gas filter a double solenoid, and a zero-pressure regulator. The gas filter protects the gas train and engine from particulate contaminants that may be present in the gas train. The primary gas pressure regulator is sized to accept a 1-5 bar gas pressure supply. The solenoid is a 24V DC single-stage solenoid and is controlled by the PLC. The zero pressure regulator detects changes in the engine vacuum through the mixer to maintain an approximately zero pressure differential between the gas chain and the AGM.
WHAT IS THE DUAL FUEL TECHNOLOGY?Our Dual Fuel Technology enables an existing Diesel Generator to run with up to 70% Natural Gas and 30% Diesel. This low-cost retrofit solution drastically reduces operating costs and emissions of existing Diesel Generators. It requires only a single modification on the Diesel Generator.
